Anna: i have found a work pet peeve to join your multitudes of work pet peeves
Anna: namely, when people insist on saying inspirational things, like, "we're almost in the home stretch! hang in there"
Anna: i don't like the supposition that i'm just waiting for time to go by when i have given no indication that this is the case! none!
Anna: or like "thank god it's friday"
Anna: i like EVERY day
me: THANK GOD SOME OF MY LIFE IS OVER
me: ONE MORE DAY CLOSER TO THE GRAVE! HOORAY!
Anna: seriously
me: you should say that
Anna: i might
Anna: i guess it's slightly different in that, hm
Anna: it's not so much that it's the passage of time but that i don't enjoy what i'm doing
Anna: and just because THEY don't, doesn't mean I don't
Anna: i don't particularly like working, but it's weird to make that assumption about people you don't know
Anna: how do they KNOW i don't like working??
me: nobody does anna
me: everybody is miserable!
me: let's all be miserable together!
Anna: waugh
Anna: i am not miserable
me: also you hate your shrewish wife
