Band Name Game
Nick made up this game/quiz on Facebook Notes, and I decided to post it here, because it was fun and I don't think anybody reads Facebook Notes. The idea is you have to name bands that fit different criteria (see below). Unsurprisingly, considering all my musical knowledge comes from Rock Band, and I'm too proud to use references or think very hard (I think that violates the spirit of the game), I did a pretty crappy job (see further below).
1. Think of a band name that has a verb.
2. Think of a band name that has an adjective.
3. Think of a band name that has an adverb.
4. Think of a band name that has a preposition.
5. Think of a band named after a book or part of a book (character, etc.).
6. Think of a band named after a movie or part of a movie.
7. Think of a band named after a work of visual art.
8. Think of a band named after a person.
9. Think of a band named after a place.
10. Think of a band named after an object.
11. Think of a band named after a body part.
12. Think of a band named after a bug.
13. Think of a band name for each of the four elements.
14. Think of a band that has a name 5 words long or longer
15. Think of a band that has a name 4 letters or shorter.
16. Think of a band name that rhymes.
17. Think of a band name that’s alliterative.
18. Think of a band name that’s Onomatopoeic.
19. Think of a band name that’s an oxymoron.
20. Think of a band name that’s an acronym.
1. Journey could be a verb!
2. Moody Blues? How are the first bands that jump into my head so lame? (Sorry, forty-year-old smooth rock fans.)
3. Uh... Suddenly... Probably... I got nothin'.
4. Presidents of the United States of America. (Two "of"s!)
5. Cinderella? Does that count? I think that's what I have to go with unless I can convince you that there was a character in the Jungle Book called Def Leppard.
6. This is tough because you have to know that the movie came first. Also, because I clearly don't know any bands.
7. What!!!! I DEFINITELY don't know any of those! RODIN'S THE THINKER. IS THAT A BAND.
8. Jefferson Airplane is probably named after Thomas Jefferson, right???
9. Oh, maybe Jefferson is a place. Anyway, this one is too easy. Boston, Chicago, Kansas. POINTS PLZ.
10. Crash Test Dummies.
11. Talking Heads. (I'm on a Canadian roll here. Can I work in Alanis Morisette and BNL somehow?)
12. A bug!!! Do the Beatles count even if they are spelled wrong? Oh, well, I can also give you the Crickets.
13. Earth Wind and Fire. BOOM THREE DONE. Plus, uh, something to do with liquid. Blood Sweat and Tears?
14. Can I use one I've already used? Because #4 would count here.
15. INXS!
16. Man, you'd think I could do this. The nearest I can think is Jon Bon Jovi.
17. Um... Yeah Yeah Yeahs?? (How do I find a way to cheat for every single question?)
18. WHAM!
19. Uhhhhh... The Ordinary Boys? (BURN ON BOYS)
20. Well I mean you can MAKE an acronym out of anything (see: BNL). Something that's primarily known by an acroynm? I'm not sure. NIN? AYWKUBTTOD?
Also I thought of some more questions for your enjoyment!
21. Think of a band named after a figure in mythology.
22. Think of a band named after a method of transit.
23. Think of three different color band names.
24. Think of a band named after a textile.
25. Think of a band named after a leader of men.

no subject
example:
An extremely attractive woman entered the room.
I have some tubes
You'd think there would be a standard test.
I need some quick judgments, people. Adjective or adverb?
"very" in "very happy"
"very" in "very happily" (just for fun)
"light", "dark" as in "light purple", "dark purple"
