Of course, TODAY they come out with a new version for the same price that addresses ALL of my problems with kindle: smaller body with the same size screen (ie less wasted real estate); dark gray in color (I hate the look-at-me bright-white); better contrast on the screen; more storage space. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER KINDLE. But I should have waited!

well, to be fair, theyre accepting preorders and not shipping till late august, so the timeframe wouldnt have worked for you anyway.

Perhaps if yours is irreparably broken during the warranty they will replace it with one of those instead!
