There's a niche out there for a nice, well-designed, searchable, consumer-oriented fair trade clothing site. Everything is this little fly-by-night boutique with a selection of about four things. It'll be a mismatch of one dress, one bracelet, and a couple of T-shirts with birds on them, or else super-traditional printed robes which scream "LOOK HOW ETHNIC I, A WHITE PERSON, AM BEING!" So far the following seem promising, although I haven't tried to buy anything yet.
Global Girlfriend Some potentially cute things, reasonable prices but not a wide selection. Emphasis on using proceeds to fund microgrants, so that's nice. The Hunger Site and Trade For Change seem to have extremely overlapping selection.
Mata Traders are maybe the best at the moment - interesting products, okay prices. To the extent that super Facebook advertiser ModCloth has fair trade clothing, it's by these guys.
Indigenous Designs has a nice, slick site that makes me feel like they are a real company, but they have like, one dress.
Avatar Imports seem to have some cute things but no size chart??
Fair Indigo Good sale prices, small selection.
World of Good by Ebay Ebay is probably actually just the best thing to do- type in "fair trade." This is a good storefront with a lot of items at varying prices, but nothing I really want.
