I get a $540 ticket for mopping on the subway. I had just bought a mop and was taking it home, the subway floor was dirty, it seemed like a good idea... The conductor is very angry. I offer to look up the official rules of the subway on mta.info, feigning confidence that it won't be there, because I have never read the complete rules of the subway on mta.info.

I am applying for a job at a software company. I'm not sure I want to work there. Their requirements are lax--a degree in anything--but they seem to have a highly codified workplace culture. They prefer if you play one of the following sports (a list including krav maga and something called "nio"), and you are required to include your favorite artist in the musical genre "gaslight boop funk." I google this term and come up with nothing. I find the CEO's last.fm profile, but his tastes are wide-ranging and eclectic (Devo, Jason Mraz, R. Kelly) and I don't want to risk showing my ignorance by taking a guess.
